This momma is tired. I feel like 2019 has started rolling and hasn’t stopped. Everyone told me that life changes with a kid and I refused to believe them. I didn’t want to hear all the negativity about how I would never see my husband, or how our relationship would never be the same, or how I would lose my sanity and my patience, or how we would never eat another meal out again, and all the other things people say to “help you out.” I didn’t. I wanted to be able to experience becoming parents and making the most out of our life. A year later life definitely hasn’t slowed down but I love every second of it.
These past four months I have been busy with work, preparing students for the STAAR test, completing my master’s, studying for the ESL test, and working behind the scenes to launch my blog. H has been in golf season and I have been doing after school tutorials two days a week. Add in baseball games, vet appointments, doctor appointments, district track meets, and life just never seems to slow down.
After I passed my ESL test I thought things would hit the brakes, but now we have been trying to get the house prepared to officially host our first event, KBs birthday party. I wasn’t going to do much just because he doesn’t understand and most likely won’t remember but his first year of life should be celebrated! We have never had this many people over at our house and I am a nervous, clean-freak wreck. Of course, there is an 80% chance of rain that day so I will be the psycho that makes everyone take their shoes off at the door.
In other news, let’s talk about this cute outfit. I have really grown to love jumpsuits. To me, they are dressy and so comfortable! I also love that I don’t ever have to worry if my skirt is going to fly up or if I am accidentally going to flash someone. This jumpsuit (wearing size small) and pair of earrings are a little preview of what is included in my amazon haul next week. I am just waiting on a few more things to come in and then I will share! I personally think that each one keeps getting better!
