More Than A season

July 16, 2020

Last week I was ready to throw in the towel. Instagram had me very discouraged. I was playing the comparison game and it was tearing me down. I have set goals for this platform. I have made a thousand lists of ideas that I want to share and have watched some of them blow up in my face. It can be very discouarging at times and it is tough to not let those things get you down.

I have joined other coach’s wives platforms, facebook groups, and supported their businesses. I understand the hustle it takes to stay afloat in this world of social media we live in. A lot of individuals are able to stick it out and make a full time job out of it. Some quit just after a few months. I made a promise to myself that when the going gets tough, you have to push through. This means stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something new.

That is exactly what I did this week, I have tried new things on my instagram platform and I am here to announce that I AM ON A FREAKING PODCAST. I know, calm down, there is no need to yell but little ol me never thought those words would come out of my mouth. I am so happy to be able to check off one of the goals that I set for myself.

The girls from More Than A Season contacted me and asked if I would like to give my perspective on what it is like being a coach’s wife, mother, teacher, and running a side hobby. I was more than happy to chat with the two sweetest girls who are riding out this lifestyle one day at a time like the rest of us.

I am a newbie, talked too fast, and stumbled often, but I am so happy I got to give a little more insight to others in this profession. Thank you all for your support! You can follow along apple podcasts, Spotify radio, or click on the link below to listen!

Shelby! This podcast is EXACTLY what I wish someone had told me as a young coach’s wife. You spoke truth and empowerment! So very proud of you and Hunter and your influence on so many young lives. Now you can add a couple of old folks who are also being impacted by your good work. Paul loves working with Hunter and we are looking forward to the season! Blessings to you and your sweet family!
