Let me break this past weekend down for you…

Friday after work we went to Target, the grocery store and ate dinner with some friends. Saturday I was up at five am to catch a flight to Lubbock to meet my new niece. Sunday I flew back home to get back to work on Monday plus get everything ready for the week. It doesn’t sound like much on paper but just looking at my fit bit makes me exhausted. So enter in the easiest, most needed outfit to a mom on the go all the time. This outfit is perfect for running errands and juggling ten different tasks at once!

A versatile, black sweater is a staple item that one must always have in their closet. This sweater can be dressed up or dressed down. It is the softest chenille material and the perfect length to wear with leggings. I found these camo leggings at TJ-Maxx for FIVE dollars and they are seriously the softest thing I own. I will link some similar ones in the picture because camo is really in right now. Also, if you couldn’t tell, I love these new tennis shoes that I got a couple weeks ago. They add color to outfits that need it plus they are super comfortable. I am about to order the black and white pair also!

So the burning question to all of this, how do yo do all of this and stay motivated?? The answer for me is positivity and consistency. If you asked my husband a year and a half ago to explain my attitude, he would use one word, negative. And I was. But once again, ever since having KB, I have become a more positive person. I have realized that every day is not promised and that I need to make the most of it. But more importantly, I need to go after what I want and accomplish what I have been talking about doing for years.

I have big goals that I want to accomplish in 2019 and here are some things I have done this first month to make sure I stay motivated and on top of those goals:

  • get up and get moving. every week day i get up at four am and go to the gym. not to lose weight but because it is my therapy. it is my time to think, run, and listen to my music. it is not for everyone, but going to the gym first thing in the morning sets the tone for my day. i have found on the days that i don’t get up and go, i am thrown off and in the worst moods.
  • plan. i am huge planer and one of my most prized possessions is my planner. i plan out my weeks and my days. i write everything down in my planner from ideas to my to-do lists. this keeps me on track and keeps me aware of what i need to get taken care of.
  • eat right. i know i know, it sounds so cliche, but seriously. when i eat good i feel good. it is how i get to wake up at four am and not hit a mid day slump. when i eat whole, healthy foods, i am able to power through the work day without needing a nap.
  • set goals. like i mentioned above, i have set some lofty goals for myself this year. writing these goals down in my planner keeps me feeling inspired but also holds me accountable.

So there you have it. There are other little things that I have left off of my list but these are the top four things that I do to keep myself motivated. 2019 has already been on of the best years yet for me personally. I have never been happier and more motivated to chase my dreams. Here’s to hoping the next eleven months are the same!
