Drug Store Make-Up

January 23, 2020

This post is long over due! I think I did my make-up routine this past summer but I don’t use those products every day. Today I want to talk about the products that I use during the week just to throw on and wear to work. They are all drugstore finds and honestly when I was linking these all, I think they are way cheaper on amazon than they actually are in the store. This is something that I am definitely going to look into since it would be so much easier just to have them delivered to me instead of being overwhelmed in the store! Also, one thing to note, I don’t use all of these products everyday. For example, I included three foundation but I may rotate through them every now and then.

For my full make up tutorial, you can go to my Instagram profile and find the video on my stories!

moisturizer

I start with this on a clean face. I don’t really have dry skin so I just use it more as a precaution. I honestly found it in my cabinet and so I have just been using it since!

glow lotion

I put this on after my moisturizer but before I put on my foundation. I don’t have oily skin so I am able to use this to add a little glow to my face.

revlon full cover foundation I Revlon photo ready foundation I Loreal infallible pro matte foundation

After my moisturizer and glow, I put on my foundation with a beauty blender. I mix two of the three that are shown above. Usually I mix the revlon full cover with either the photo ready or pro matte foundation. The full cover foundation is really thick so I like to off set it with one of the others and it also helps me get the shade that I need.

loreal infallible full wear concealer I Maybelline master conceal

Following my foundation, I put on concealer under my eyes. These dark circles after motherhood ain’t messing round. I honestly like the maybelline master conceal is better than the loreal infallible full wear concealer. To me, a little bit goes a long way and gives me a brighter look. The loreal infallible full what wear reminds me of the tarte shape tape but just not as good.

airspun setting powder

I put this on top of my conwcekare to set it and help it stay in placeable day. I also do this with a beauty blender but it can easily be done with a brush!

loreal true match powder I Maybelline loose finishing powder

Again, I do not use both of these. I just use whichever one I am feeling that day. The true match powder is more compact and personally I think it gives me more of a matte look. The loose finishing powder just kind of pulls everything together an adds some color to my face. I also use a beauty blender to apply either of these.

bronzer

This goes on after my powder with a brush. I do a “3” motion on the outer edges of my face to help contour and add some definition!

blush

I think this is pretty much self explanatory, I just put a little bit on my cheeks to help add some color and not look completely washed out.

highlighter

I like to add a little bit of highlighter to Gove my face an extra pop. You have to be careful with this stuff, a little goes a long way! If you use too much, you will end up looking like a disco ball!

eyeliner I mascara I eyeshadow

Somewhere in the process I use eyeliner, mascara, and whatever shades eyeshadow I am using that day. This section is pretty short and sweet but I think most beginners can figure this one out! As far as the application of eyeshadow goes, I probably mix together three shades and there is no rhyme or reason to method of application. Sorry!

lip gloss

When I can remember it, I will throw on some chapstick or a light lip gloss just to finish off the look.

If you have made it this long, congrats! I know this was a long one but I had some questions recently on my everyday make-up and I wanted to make sure to cover it all. I repeat for the thirty seventh thousand time, I am not an make-up expert. I am just sharing what I use and what works for me!
