It has been a hot minute since I have done a life update on here. Things have been fast and furious and honestly that is where I thrive. I have said many times that things are often busy for us, but that is what we are used to. I do better when we have things scheduled and I know what to expect. I am not a very go-with-the-flow type person, so structure is what works best for me.
KB
Chatty Cathy. Seriously, he is trying so hard to talk and we can definitely make out some of the words that he is trying to say. I feel so bad for him sometimes because he gets so frustrated when he can’t communicate to us what he wants. His memory is getting stronger every day, and he is remembering simple routines that we do in the house. He is also learning how to show us what he wants and we are trying to have more conversations with him to explain what those things are. I can not believe that he will be two next month!
the parents
Spring is supposed to be our down time to reset and relax, and for the most part it has been just that. We travel a lot in the spring because football has us tied down for the majority of the fall. We are also trying to prep the house and get ready for baby in just a few weeks! H is busy with golf and track and I am just trying to hold down the fort. Even the weekends that we have nothing planned are filling up fast with visitors and to do lists!
baby number two
He is just a cooking away. I am due at the end of the month, and I can’t wait to see what he looks like. We are super excited to see how KB interacts with him, and to see him step in as a big brother. As a parent, everyday I feel a little better about rocking his world and giving him a sibling. I know that there will be some days that will be harder than others, but we are so thankful for this little blessing that will be growing our family by one more soon!
Right now we are trying to make room for him and give him his own little space, while still keeping our guest bedroom space for visitors. In reality, I know he won’t actually need a room for a few more months. He will sleep in our room until he isn’t waking up so many times at night. It just gives me peace knowing that he has his own room and is apart of the family!
The Future
In the coaching world, it is primetime job season. What does that mean for us? Nothing until nothing becomes something! Coaching changes happen all day, everyday in the state of Texas, and there are always opportunities available. It doesn’t always mean that is the best opportunity for us. I know that our future is in God’s hands and when people ask us if we are staying next year my reposes ia always the same, “I don’t know the answer to that question.”
